Post C Section And Sex HELP

I had a c-section 10 weeks ago, and my dh & I tried to have several times in the past few weeks and it hurts soooooooo bad. It feels like I'm a virgin all over again and while were having s_x it feels like I'm getting a really bad UTI (urinary tract infection) WHY?? Does anyone else have this too?? I'm so scared to have s_x b/c it hurts & burns and I'm worried that it's going to be a long while before our s_x life returns back to normal. I also got a really bad UTI afterwards too. It's been almost 3 months now since we've had s_x (poor hubby) Anyone else going through this and does it get any better???

Marie, you need to have a culture for a UTI. It is possible that the bacteria from your first UTI was not completely killed off. This is a common problem after c-sections and/or any catheterizations. The pain should be a bit better even after a c-section so a visit to your OB is advisable. I had a very similar experience and it ended up being scar tissue and adhesions that caused the pain with s_x.

Hey Marie, have you tried using KY or some kind of lubricant? Are you b___stfeeding? Did you have labor before your c-section? Breastfeeding will cause more dryness so you may need a lubricant, if you labored, your cervix might still be very sore or a little inflamed. Otherwise, you haven't had s_x in 3 months might make you a bit sore down there too. Check on the UTI with your doctor, otherwise I'd say go slow and get some KY or something to help for the first few times.
