Scar Tissue

I had my first c-section in Jan 2000.I was left with a huge hematoma that went from my scar up to my ribs. Before the doctor got the chance to drain it, my scar opened up a little on the right side(about hlf inch) and drained it self. It bled for two weeks and I was visited daily by a district nurse who packed my wound till the hematoma had all gone and the wound healed. After the healing process had finished of the entire scar i was left with small tender lumps all along the scar except for where it had opened up. I could actually put my finger in i ths space. My G.P told me the lumps were scar tissue and that there was nothing he could do about it. I had my secondC-section in sept 2003. Although the wound healed nicely, I have larger lumps then befor along my scar,These are much more painful on the left side especially when my period is due. I get a cramping pain on the left side also when i laugh, sneeze cough etc.Now for the second time in 2 years, even though it was 9 yrs when i had my firs C-section, I have an infection at the point of the scar that opened up with the hematoma. Its a large lump that opens and the infection comes away. Its horrible and very painfull. You would think after 9 yrs, i wouldn't have any more trouble with that. Has anyone ever heard of this before? The doctors are no use and tell me that theres nothing that hey can do. Please help.

Wow, that sounds like well, the Dr really really messed up, and though some Dr's say you can't remove scar tissue, some of it can be taken out... and since it is causing you so much pain, i would say someone has to do something about it, and since your Dr isn't i would suggest seeking another Dr, maybe one that specializes in that? your body shouldn't be "acting" in this manner ... so seek another opinion asap! good luck

Support your incision, do daily soft and gentle work, treat the infection, seek another Doctor, maybe plastic surgeon- special scar oil ma__saged into area- fascial ma__sage work, but infection needs to be treated now, and ma__sage work done daily. I am sorry for your pain. they probably did not sew you up internally properly.
