It depends on your doctor. I was given a chance at a vbac, my kids will be 16 months apart. But the doctor is giving me a low chance of success due to the nature of my first labor. Some ladies find the hospital or doctor or insurance do not allow vbac as a rule, so you'll have to ask the doctor to find the answer to this one.

If you have a strong desire to have a VBAC,I'd ask your doctor if they'll allow a trial of labor and switch if they won't do it. My first was c-section and my doctor fully supported my VBAC decision with #2, but then at my 20 week u's with #2 I was found to have cervical scarring that won't allow me to dilate (which explains a lot about the first labor!!). So, for me it was an automatic repeat c-section (and , of course, so was #3). It was nice knowing that my doctor wanted me to have what I wanted, though:)

i am due 9/18 with my second and attempting a vbac. i had a section with my first for failure to progress.... ultimately it seems as if the root cause was a posterior baby (rather large also) so we are attempting the vbac. it really pays to do the research and see which pros and cons you feel strongly about and find a dr to match your beliefs. i also recommend a midwife if you plan to vbac. that should be plenty of time also between the two deliveries provided you had no bad complications. good luck!

i had a c-sec with my first and am currently preg with # 2. my children will be 16 mos apart and my doctor told me i could try a VBAC...even though they are leaning more towards repeat -c-sec....they think my labor will follow the same path as my first....But im speaking positive about it and believing my 2nd baby will not be in a posterior position. Ive done alot of research and still am...Vaginal delivery is possible...Just educate yourself....and BELIEVE!!!!

I believe you can try for a v____al birth, only if everything goes just right. Make sure you know what kid of incision was made on your uterus, because there are 4 different kinds and the low transverse incision has the lowest risk of rupture.
I too am faced with the decision of a vbac or repeat c-section. I'm feeling so crazy about it all. I hope you figure this one out and always know that you are making the right decision!
