Are you b___stfeeding? I had a C-section 9 months ago and I was and still am exclusevly pumping and weight came off without any problem by the time I was 12 weeks post partum without any diet restictions or excercise. I don't believe that weight loss has anything to do with C-section. I credit it to pumping, I call it natural lyposuction since It was allways so hard for me to loos a ponud. Take care I hope the scale starts to show some lower numbers soon. Leilani

i too have had a csection and was not able to b___stfeed bc he was in nicu and then i could produce milk even after pumping, and i cant lose my weight, i have heard csections have a harder time getting the weight off but come on my baby just turned 3 months....i lost 21 pounds right away and i still have 20 pounds that are hanging on, i am on the shot and i think that might not be helping, arew you on birth control?

Yes! I don't know if it has anything to do with having a c-section or just being a mom in general though. I NEVER had a weight problem. I have actually been underweight for much of my early adult life- until I had my son. Now I'd love to lose about 10-15 pounds but I just can't do it! It really is frustrating and I feel your pain! Everything just looks different after you have a baby. Even if you only have a few extra pounds, it looks and feels- at least to you- like you have gained so much more. I am sorry you are going through it too- it totally sucks and I want my body back. What I try to do is focus on the fact that I sacrificed some of my "good body" in order to grow and sustain a healthy baby. Although the baby is born, you may never get your pre-birth body back. Just try to be as healthy as possible and realize that you made a big sacrifice in order to have a healthy baby- but I know that it was soooo worth it. Good luck! mkm

well it is true because i'm going through the same situation the weight just dosen't come off at all but it's different with everyone because i know some friends of mine that had there baby with a c-section and the weight came flying off and me i'm stuck like this and i have tried everything eating healthy excersiseing and it won't come off but my mother told me it has to do with the birth control pills so thta's what might be happening to you. but hope you find a way because i a__sure you i was not like this before prego. because i was a dancer but now forget it my weight dosen't let me.

well my bc shot wears off on the 17th and im not getting back on bc, i have started to subst_tute 2 meals w/ the ensure, and since im getting the nutrition i need im really not hungry so i eat one meal and the other two are the chocolate drinks lol im desperate though, and my pants are fitting better, so hopefully maybe soon some more weight will come off, i tried exercising twice a day sometimes more and i didnt see a change, my dad said it is due to hormones from the pregnancy and maternal fat stores will stay as long as your body thinks you might need them, for energy or to feed your baby, my mom was 110 b4 she got preg w/ me the balloned to 170 and didnt lose it for a year later, and she ate like a pig and didnt work out and it just came off:0 so i guess we just relax and weight. sorry theres more....lol my doctor said once the baby started sleeping through the night i should drop 20 more pounds, he isn't are your babies? she said sleep has a lot to do w/ the ability to lose weight...sorry so long!!!

Hi.. I had a c-section November 2006..... It seemed like forever before I can lose anything, was starting to get very frustrated... but i joined a gym (3 times a week) and trying to count points for weight watchers and I lost 6 pounds in 1 month... After almost a year, i'm finally getting my waist back..
