I have been trying everything for back pain. I'm 33 weeks pregnant...I had back pain during my first trimester but it feels like it's getting worser! I have tryed back rubs, iceing & heating pads, muscle rub cream, sleeping with a pillow under my back...almost everything! My doctor can't do a thing she says it gets worser when I get bigger, she even gave me a support belt...it still doesn't work. Please help me...I really don't know what to do!

maybe going to see a ma__sage therapist or try doing yoga. Ive been getting some bad back aches and I find that stretching really helps.

I'm sorry that I do not have advice, but I threw my back out yesterday in the shower. It is really discouraging when you are already worn out and then you have all this back pain. Just wanted to drop you a note to let you know you are not alone. Sending good healing thoughts your way:)

Hmmm...I was told not to use those muscle rubs, or tiger balm. They won't really do anything anyways because your pack pain is not due to knotted muscles, its due to pressure. Those muscle creams are meant to help ease and unknot your muscles. Also, I was told that they're way to strong and could end up absorbing into your skin, which wouldn't be good for baby. If you can, try to stay away from muscle rubs. The only thing you can do is have your husband or boyfriend rub your back and stick with heating pads. OR..try having a nice warm bath and if you have a jaccuzzi with jets, that's even better. I have one in my bathroom and oooh man, it does wonders. NO HOT TUBS THO!!!

I saw a programme where someone was going through this and she was eventually referred to a specialist, turns out that when your pelvis separates in preparation for birth, this can cause problems with your back, the spacialist gave her back a couple of good clicks, and she felt great!

My doc recommended a maternity belt and now I can't live without it. It helps ease the pressure of carrying the baby. I found one at Motherhood Maternity for $15. Best money I have ever spent! It's also a lot cheaper than going to a chiro.
