I'm 33 weeks and for the last week have been having occasional sharp-shooting pains that feel like they go straight through my va___a. I've also had A LOT more pressure and braxton hicks. Is this a sign that I've started to dilate or that my cervix has started to thin??

Oh, I've been having exactly the same thing and have no idea what it is either! I'm almost 35 weeks and have been feeling this way for about 3 or 4 days now. I've been looking all over the internet for answers until I see my doctor next week, but the only thing I've found is that when the baby drops, it causes more pressure to be put on the cervix, bladder, and pelvic area, which can definitely cause pain and discomfort. I'm not sure if that's what is causing the pain, but it's definitely a possibility. I won't know for sure until the doctor checks me out.
