Subchronic Bleed

Last week at 6 weeks and 6 days they noticed on the ultrasound that I had subchronic bleed. I have read many entries with the same condition but I am not bleeding out the va___a. They said I had a strong heart beat and hopefully it will heal by itself. My question is what causes this and can I take medication to treat it or jus have to wait and see. Also....this is my second pregnancy and I feel really bad - not morning sickness just feel tired and worn down. Is this normal or is this a sympton on Subchronic Bleed?

Hi Gwen- I suffered the same thing at about 9 weeks. 1st the dr told me my pregnancy had a 50/50 chance of surviving- then the peri told me that actually, most subchorionic bleeds turn out fine. I bled heavily for about 10 weeks. I had huge blood clots and thought I lost my baby several times. The dr took me off of work for about 6 weeks or so and told me to take it easy. Bleeding finally stopped and I haven't seen a drop of blood since. Now I am 39 weeks and hoping I see a drop of blood or some sign that this baby is coming!!-- But like you say, I was very tired all of the time when I was bleeding. Just take it easy and drink LOTS of water. I think that is what helped me. I did not have any medication- only prayers. I will be saying a prayer for you and your baby. God Bless.
