Every morning i go through the same routine. When i wake up i like to rinse my mouth with mouthwash to get rid of the horrible taste. I eat breakfast then i brush my teeth. Heres the problem. When i brush my teeth it makes me gag until i throw up. Never fails.I try to brush my teeth really good then once im done throwing up i rinse my mouth again with mouthwash after im positive im done. Its so horrible. Does anyone have the same problem and how have you fixed it?

haha...I had the same problem early on in pregnancy, but everything made me sick. Now I'm at 35 weeks and it's coming back. Nothing I can think of gets rid of it. It might be the smell - how many weeks are you? Can you find an unscented/flavored toothpaste?

Hi mummy tummy. I am also having the same problem, except I can't even tolerate the mouthwash so I would also love to hear from anyone who knows any way to fix it. At the moment it has just been a matter of putting up with it and hoping it will eventually go away!!!

hmm...I have the same issue and I'm almost 12 weeks. I thought, at first, that it was because of brushing my tonuge...but it's not. I've tried all different types of toothpaste and mouthwashes, but nothing works. The only thing that makes it less likely for me to physically vomit (even though I still gag), is to wait until about 10am to brush my teeth. Nearly IMPOSSIBLE when I need to get to work at 7am. lol.

i had the same problem and i had to wait about 20 mins before brushing. and when did brush, i could not look at myself in the mirror or watch myself spit. don't know why, but avoiding them things helped. kinda stupid, but whatever.

lol, lexy, me too. I have to look away from the foam or I get all queasy. I'm still getting this and I'm 12w4d today -- I hope it goes away soon!!

Always eat in the morning toast with a sc___pe of b___ter worked for me. I also found that if you eat wait at least an hour , the longer the better really, before brushing. Doesn't help much if you need to go to work though!

No way can I brush my teeth first thing in the morning. I floss & brush real good before bed with no problems, but in the morning all I can tolerate is to rinse with mouthwash. I HATE not being able to brush my teeth before I leave for work... :(

Sometimes I brush before i eat. Then when I gag and throw up its just stomach acid and not my breakfast. At least it gets rid of that dry mouth and nasty morning breath.
