i am no expert but i do know that it is common for many people to have a slight blood loss or brown discharge around the time the period is due,it happens when the egg is implanting so please try not to worry but if it gets worse go see your doc or midwife

hi my wife is 7 weeks and has some brown dischage she had a scan at 6 weeks and we saw the heart beat this time last year the same thing happened and we lost the baby, now we are sick with worry that history is repeating its self again

Was 8 wks pregnant when miscarried last month and it started with brown discharge but it was not just "spotting". It was when I wiped but it was quite heavy - it felt like my period starting. It then quite quickly went red and heavy. I always had pain. So I would suggest if it is not heavy and there is no pain the symptoms seem to be just like most on this site that have healthy pregnancies. I would only worry if theres pain or it goes red. Hope this may be of help.

...hey, this is the same, yet a little different than all of these other questions on here... ok my periods are usually around the 18th... i didnt get my period january and on the 20th i had s_x (with a condom)... i havent had my period at all sence then... and today i had some of that gross brown discharge... what the heck is goin on?

I am 29 Years old ,i started trying for a child in december 2005 ,I notice in jan about a week and a half before my period i spotted for two days it was pinkish then my period was one day off but it came as normal but i had little cramps if any,About two days after my period i had s_x and i started spotting pinkish to brownish again then it turn dark red and medium for a day after i have been on my feet all day then in two days it was back to spotting and no cramps when it came back to brownish spotting some times if i wipe i notice i some time have very mild cramps.could i be preguant any one every had this

hey brownish discharge is nothin but blood from the period of the other month. Sometimes, not all the blood is sc___ped off from the last period and so comes out in the first early of hours of the next period. However since we're all humans complications can occur in a major change such as pregnancy which can therefore cause this brownish discharge.....

After reading all the other answers here I guess its just the start of preg. I took a test and it came out negative. I am about 4 days late and I just started having brown discharge also. I have had it before and about 2 days later I got my persiod. I'm lost...I dont know if its ok or if I'm preg. I dont have insurance so I cant go to the doctors. Can anyone help?

Hi guys - I've been having the brown discharge too, I accidentally skipped two pills in my birth control not too long ago, and the past two days I've been getting brown discharge (my period is due in about 5 days).. I don't think that it is old blood, especially since it's before my period, but who knows, I guess. Anyway, there was a little bit of blood today and a little bit of cramping yesterday with the discharge, but I'm not sure whether it's my period, or just spotting.. could I be pregnant? I have had unprotected s_x with my partner, so it's a possibility in that aspect. Help!

Well Christine it sounds like it might be implantation bleeding or possible ovulation bleeding (although it sounds a bit late). Either way I would wait until your period time and take a HPT if you are at all late. I too am at the waiting game. Had miscarriage 7 wks ago and haven't had period since. Took HPT last Thur but (-). Went to docs today as got some preg symptoms and was advised to take HPT. Taking it tomorrow so we'll see!!

So I'm four days late for my peroid today and took a HPT two days ago that came out - . My b___sts are swolen and you can see the vains. I'm told that theese are also preg. symptoms! This is kind of personal but last night my partner noticed some brown discharg douring ,.. well never mind, but not enough for me to have noticed douring the day. So I checked my self today and noticed a little bit of brown up there also. Someone help! Sorry to sound grose! Thanks

Thanks Janice - I'm a__suming you can just get HPTs at your local grocery store or somewhere, right? I'll wait a few days, see if my period's late, and take one if it is. Should I continue my birth control while I wait?

im 25 and i had unprotected s_x and now having a watery discharge but with no smell what is it? Could it be his c_m two or three days later comming out.

Tonya, if you're having unprotected s_x, you should at least pee after having s_x if nothing else. It helps prevent yeast infections - so I'm told - and the s____n will come out of you.

Here I am again, now about 11 days late and no period. I have had brown discharge twice and still no period. My b___sts have been hurting for about a week and a half now. I took two preg. tests and both neg. I dont know whats going on can anyone help? I would appreciate it.

Hey I'm on here pretty much looking for the same answers...my periods are almost 2 weeks late,I have a strange brown discharge that has a almost onion like smell.(i guess).....my b___st are extremely tender and a substance squirted out of right b___st last night!?.....on top of all this I have been feeling sick in the stomach for about 2 days. I've taken two pregnacy test(different brands)and both come up negative.I called my doctor to try book an appointment but nothing till monday...I a bit concerned....has anyone ever experienced anything like this at all
