Does anyone know if you can highlight your hair in the first trimester?

Most doctors and hair dressers would agree that is probably best not to do any hair coloring during the first trimester. However, there are no incidents where this has been linked with birth defects. I had my hair permed with my first and colored with my second, both during the first trimester. Both my kids turned out perfectly. It's pretty much up to you, you should ask your doctor too.
