I took a early hpt and got a positive went to the md 5 days later and my hcg was only 28 what does this mean my periods and ovulatio isnt not normal

hCG over 5 is probably, over 50 is definitely pregnant. Why did the doc do a quant_tative test so early? The number should double every few days. Those beta hcg tests are expensive. Why not take another hpt same kind same time of day and see if the line is getting stronger, faster? Then you could have another blood test at your next visit. GL!
