Scared - June 15

I am 12 weeks pregant with my first and was wondering if it is normal to be extremely scared. I have never been so scared. I am slod worried a lot about gaining weight. I had previously lost 93lbs. and I am worried about gaining weight and not being able to get my body back. I have worked so hard that it scares me. If anyone can help reassure me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks

first off, congrats on your weight loss, and congrats about the baby! I'm 20 so i was really scared about gaining weight and this and that and i'm still young & etc. but if you stick to a healthy pregnancy diet, and exercises, you shouldn't have a problem. also, ask your doctor how much he/she thinks you should gain. my doc told me he wanted me to gain an overall 35lbs by delivery. some months you gain alot and the next month could be like 2 pounds. so try not to get so nervous and stressed about it. also, if you nurse you lose the weight faster and your body go back to normal quicker. good luck!

It seems you've shown youself to be a health-conscious person by loosing the weight. Like Jackie said, focus on the health aspect and not the weight gain. If you eat healthy and exercise you shouldn't gain an excessive amount of weight. Just try to keep in mind that much of what you are gaining is for the health and development of your baby. Good luck

Girl I don't blame your for being worried, but just relax and enjoy the pregnancy. Sounds like you are dedicated to keeping a healthy life-style, so I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure it's easier said than done, but the main focus is the health of your baby, right? I know you'll be just fine.
