Help!. The last time I had sex was on June 6, I got my period on June 27. My question is can I still be pregnant because I didn't get my period this month and it's august 4. Also I started taking metformin for blood sugar on July 11.

Hmm. Menstrual upsets are not listed as a side effect of metformin though interestingly many of the possible side effects are similar to early pregnancy. You are not mentioning any side effects or early signs. I very much doubt you are pregnant but you can run a home test to put your mind at ease. I hope the doc told you of the diet, exercise and weight loss recommendations that go along with metformin treatment.

No the doc only told me about the diet but not about the exercise and weight loss. Thats why i didnt know if metformin had anything to do with my period.

Also my stomach looks biger n bloated and its hard could the be from the metformin?
