Short Menstrual Cycle Need Answer

My cycle has been short all of my life i am 27 yrs old.. my period last about 3-4 days and comes on 19-22 days.. it sometimes seems like it comes on twice in one month because its so short.. how can i predict my ovulation?? i've been preg. once after having s_x 1 time with a boyfriend... i sometimes think that my likelihod of becoming preg is so unpredictable.. right now i'm waiting on my period.. i've had s_x unprotected 3-4 time right before i "thought' my period was going to come on.. i took a test.. it said neg.. i'm coming up on the 23rd day.. a lil nervous.. or can i just be stressing myself out...? should i still take another test when it comes o????
