Vitamin A In First Trimester

Hi everyone,
I hope someone can help me...
I'm currently nearly 5 weeks pregnant with my third child. I was looking forward to being abit more relaxed with this pregnancy (having been over anxious with my first two) but the day after i got my positive result (i should add it wasn't planned but a lovely surprise) i started trying to remember the do's and don'ts of pregnancy.
I remembered that Vitamin A should be avoided especially in these first few important weeks and i'm now REALLY scared i may have done my baby harm as i've been taking a multivitamin with 800ug re (100% daily allowance) Vitamin A in it - the retinol kind, not the beta stuff. I stopped taking it obviously upon realising, but it doesn't change the fact that i've taken it before getting pregnant and now up til my bfp when i was 4 weeks pregnant.
I guess i'm looking for some reassurance from mum's who have been in the same boat, or any information from someone more knowledgeable than me, as i've trawled every website on the first ten pages of google and it's rather conflicting stuff!! (It did lead me to this website though :))
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help me calm down abit. Can't convince myself to not be overly concerned. Old habits die hard i guess!!
Letti x
