When Do Woman Start To Show

My wife is currently in week 8 and she thinks she is showing. I on the other hand don't know if she really is even though she has gotten a little bigger belly on her or not. I don't want to be mean and no your not. I also wanted to know if you may start showing earlier if you are having twins.

Every woman is different as to when they start showing & it also depends on if this is her first or not. That said it is NOT likely that she is showing this early because her uterus is still tucked away inside the pelvis. If her waist seems thicker it's most likely caused from bloating, caused from the extra hormones (just like when her period is due). Even if she had twins, it would make no difference at this point as they would be too small to make her uterus grow any quicker. If she wants to believe she is showing to feel better about having a thicker waistline, my only advice would be to just indulge her & go with it. Trust me those hormones are going crazy right now & she is just as likely to burst into tears as she is to slap you if you say the wrong thing.
