just found out wife and i are having a boy. i have to admit that i was really hoping to have a little girl and i'm finding it hard to imagine having a boy. Yikes! Anyone else struggled with wanting to be a great parent but nervous they'll connect with their child?

Dear Yikes, I have three girls and when i found out my fourth was a boy i was shocked ! I was actually scared....would i feel the same ?would i bond with him as i did my daughters. Don't worry ! I have five sisters, no brothers.and my grandmother had 12 granddaughters ,no grandsons .I had never even changed a boys diaper before !!!*** BIG TIP ***point his p___s down after you change him.No one told me until one day i said to my friend that he is wetting out the side of every outfit.*soaking !! I was changing his outfit with every diaper change .Until i pointed his ~you know what~ down ! As for my daughters they treat their lil bro like he is the prince ! I thank God everday for my little man . You will be fine. My son is four months old and his face lights up when i talk to him . Good luck.....boys are great !
I was actually saying to myself before "i can't believe i have a boy ".
I wouldn't have it any other way !
