We bought Nadya a touchy feely Lion from the Early Learning Center. She's more interested in people than toys at the moment, and she will be showered with gifts from other people anyway. My brother bought his baby a wooden spoon for his first Christmas, because that's what he liked the most. Lol! The following Christmas, he was really into brooms, so they bought him a set of them. He had a mommy, daddy and baby broom, and he was very protective of them, and wouldn't let anyone else play with them. Hehe! Kids are so funny! :)

My friend gave me a vibrating chair I swore I wouldnt use it because I didnt trust them! my fiancee put my son in it and he absolutely loved it! laughed and played with the toys! now hes in it whenever he fusses, that and his swing are the only things that calm him down
|

Fisher Price makes a plastic aquarium that hangs on the inside of the crib. It makes ocean sounds, and if I remember correctly, it also plays music. All I know is both of my kids LOVED theirs and I plan on using it again with Dylan too. You can get them atToys R Us, Target, Walmart, etc.. and it costs about $25. :o)

I have one similar to the one Tiffani was taling about.It's the ocean wonders mobile,it has music and a lightshow as well.Jesse loves it.

My son was born nov.11.03. so that first xmas, i really didnt know what to buy either! my daughter pa__sed down all the toys he would need. and since it was oposite s_x, he needed clothing, so everyone got him that...as he was only a little pa__sed 5week old. the xmas after...he was 11month old. it was a little easier, eventhough with the toyrs my daughter has (they only have about 18months different) we had too much ! lol. Youll see by nexted year....theyll play with almost the same things, cause they are so close in age. This year we got them a vteck computer each, and we are buying them the star station, they can share that. they are now 2 and 3yr. lol it can be a challenge

You could get him a cd player with some cd's (or pull a BBK and get him an Ipod!) New pacifiers, bibs, bottles, clothes, anything that will be useful! Also I highly recommend starting a tradition of getting an ornament every year!

I have put my tree up tonight :-D Got a couple of presents under it, but i'm not putting too much! My daughter (18 month) will rip them open if I did! They are all excited for santa coming. My oldest son (almost 5) pulled a stocking down by accident and said santa is going to be cross with him now LOL. No idea where he got that from bless him! Lissi that broom story made me laugh! Bless!!

I am putting my nice and easy pre-lit fake tree up the weekend of thanksgiving.I am so excited,I feel like a kid myself.This is my first christmas as a mommy.Actually last year was very exciting as well,I found out "for sure" I was pregnant on the 21 st of dec,THAT was my greatest gift all times!!!!!

Wow! Leslie, you're early with your Christmas tree! I haven't even started Christmas shopping yet(except Nadya's lion), and I suppose I'd better get a move on, because shopping with Nadya takes ages, what with all the feeding and changing I have to do in-between! I can't wait to see her reaction, when she sees all the tree and all the twinkly lights!
