well my cats dont spray anywhere lol. they have alot of attention though. they used to go in the crib, but the moment the babies come home they dont anymore, they like to sleep in the nursery, but on the carpet, or underneath the crib. they like being apart of everything, they always sleep with us, beside the bed or at our feet. i woudnt be able to put up with spraying either, it stink! my cats have been spayed and neuteured since they were one year old.

As an update, I also put foil over the crib bar and inside the crib, and no cats in there since! Hopefully it will be that easy! Thanks again, everyone!

That's great that you found a solution for it...another thing, for when your baby is older. If your cats aren't declawed, you can trim their nails with regular nailclippers (but don't use the ones you use on yourself, because they get a jagged edge). Just don't trim down to the vein, which is visible. When my daughter started crawling, on the rare occasions that my cat was inside, she'd chase him and he'd swat at her, so I kept his claws trimmed.

I said I would get back to you after asking my friend. Well, she said that the cats are angry and jealous at the baby because your giving attention more to the baby. Give them lots of attention and get angry if you see them go to the crib, tell them to get out. For her they understand she said. I was thinking maybe you could find a mesh to cover the top of the crib. I know they sell mosquito mesh for ba__sinets and car seats. Maybe you can make one for the crib.
