I know that exzema also runs in the family, so if there is a history in you or your husbands family of exzema that could be it too. My grandfather had it severely when he was younger, it skipped my dad and both me and my sister ended up with it-go figure! Have you talked to the pediatrician about it?

If its an allergy I wouldn't nessasarily call it eczema. Like tami said its usually a family thing. My father has it, I have it and my son has it. But the dr could tell you best what it is and how to treat it.

Thanks guys!, i did talk to my dr., and he said to keep it moiterized. Do you know how to tell between an allergy flare up and eczema? He has an itchy patch on his cheek, which gets dry, then heals in a day or two, then flares up again.

I'm really not sure how to tell the difference, sorry I can't help with that. As for keeping it moisterized I use Eucerin lotion for my ezcema. I've also heard the lotion vasaline (sp?) makes is good for it.

I also use Eucerin lotion and it seems to work well. Aveeno oatmeal bath works well when it is really bad.
