here in aus it gets cheaper once they are past 6 months, we had s26 gold here and heinz gold, i would go between the two and all was fine depending what was in stock so to speak. I was told by my health nurse formulas are all the same pretty much, some more known brands just cost more

i spend about $160 a month...we get nestle goodstart dha&ara and its like $12.50 a can....it really all depends on which formula you pick...and its good to stick with one formula unless theres something wrong with your baby(spits up) but its pretty expensive...unless your like rich...wic will help out some.
