im just wondering how long she will be sore and feverish? How did you all feel when your baby got their first shots, it upset me because my daughter was screaming at the top of her lungs

Awwww so sorry for your little one. When my kids got shots, the did cry at first but I gave them both baby pain reliever when we got back. That way if they did get sore the meds would work beforehand. She may be sore for a day or 2 after, but most pain relievers are also fever reducers, so it should help. I know it's late now but is she feeling better or worse? Because some babies forget it even happened by the time they leave the office. Anyway I hope your baby girl doesn't get any of the side effects. It's so hard to see your kids in pain.

my little boy screamed bloody murder when the needles hit his legs. poor little guy...i have to admit, i did shed a tear...i felt so bad for the little guy...he actually lost his breath a couple of times during the ordeal. he didn't seem sore after the first day and had a very slight fever for about a day and a half...but everything was fine after that. i gave him infant tylenol as directed for the fever.

My little girl goes for her two month check up tomorrow and I think she needs to get like, four shots, I'm nervous because it about killed me to see her face turn purple during the hep B shot. Should I give her infant tylenol when I get home before side effects would kick in or wait and see how she does?? Do the side effects always happen?

My daughter cried for about 10 minutes after getting the shots...I then nursed her, she went to sleep, and that was that. She would fuss and squirm if you touched her bandaids, but she didn't cry or anything. Leahp, wait and see - the side effects don't always happen, and you don't want to risk over-medicating the baby.

Lucas cried for a few minutes, then slept 4 hours that day, and was crabby for a few more days. I'm hoping the 4 month shots go better this month! He didn't get a fever though.Hopefully she will be herself again soon!

I hated getting Nadya's shots done. She screamed and I cried! Isn't it the worst feeling, when they're looking pleedingly into your eyes, and you have to hold them down whilst some b___d sticks needles in them?! I'm dreading the next lot. Only 2 weeks to go. :( Nadya didn't get a fever, but I gave her some Calpol ( probably the same thing as Tyenol) anyway, because she seemed to be in pain. That helped her sleep for a while.
