Six Week Old Sons Feeding Habits

My son was born sept 23 and is not six weeks old today, he eats every 3 hours during the day 4.5 ounces. At night he can go about 5-7 hours. My questions are is that about what you fed your six week old? Should I be giving him more, should he be going longer between feedings during the day? my son was born sept 22, and he eats about 5-6 oz every 1.5 to 2 hours. He's a piglet, but his dad is 6 ft 5 in and a big eater, so we expected him to really like to chow. Just as long as he seems content and is growing, having wet diapers, and your doctor is happy, he sounds fine. Good luck!

yeah..my son wa born sept. 21 and he eats about 5 ounces...his timing varies greatly too...sometimes it's 2 hours, and sometimes it's 3 or 4...so i'd say he's fine

To Dylan,Hi glad to know someone is in the same boat as I am, my son also wants to eat every 2 hours as well! At his 3 1/2 month appointment he was 15.6 lbs.,90% and 75% in his height! But he always wants to eat as well, his Dad is a big guy too! Goodluck!

My son was born Sept 28. He only eats about 3 to 3.5 oz every 2 hr. If I give him more, he'd throw up.
