When Should He Hold Up His Head

My son his three months old today. My mother pointed out to me that he can't hold up his head. It flops to one side. When I put him on his belly for tummy time he can raise his head. When should he have more head control? Should I be concerned? He doesn't see his pediatrician for another month.

I believe by 4 months they should have full neck control but every baby is different. I would ask your Dr just to be sure. My daughter was holding her head up (shakey but up) already at 1 week but she hated tummy time and would not lift her head up in that position until about 12 weeks.

mine just did more steadily at 4mths today!! yay. Don't worry too much abt it. Your son will too in his own time!
