2 Cm And 50 Effaced Having Contractions

I am 38 wks preg with my 3rd child, i am having contractions throughout the day and night and it feels like i am on my period.. But the contractions are coming more frequent but they are irregular, my back is killing me, it's throbbing and i went to the hospital yesterday but was not dialating so they sent me home.. I need some desperate advice, I am so ready to have her!!!! my due date is january 15th. We have been having s_x everynight and i have been walking.

i know how you feel. i'm due jan 11 and i'll be 39wks tomorrow. i was 3cm and 80% on dec 23rd, and on the 28th i was 4cm and 90% hopefully at my appt on thurs i'll be 5 and 100 and they'll send me to L&D. i've been walking and drinking raspberry leaf tea, i had s_x but nothing really happend so i ate eggplant parm and nothing. my contractions are like yours....more freq and stronger. i used to get them just at night but now i'm getting them all day..i dont feel most of them but then again my labor will be back labor cause baby is facing up but i do feel like i'm gonna get my rag. hope our babies come soon

I know what you're going thru moe!!! Believe me!! As of last week, I was 2cm, and 50% eff. as well. Tomorrow I'll be 38ws, and I am very tired of being pregnant!!! They're saying she's already over 7lbs....gulp! Am I close? I've had cramps, diaherea, bh cont, they seem like it anyway. I can't tell if they're real or not! They never get really strong! My back is also killing me, as is under my bra line. Talk about painful! I wonder if that pain is contractions? Can anyone tell me if I'm getting close at all? How long does it normally take to dilate? Or do I not want to know?
