Acupuncture

I am going tomorrow for acupuncture as a last ditch effort to try and get my body ready. I am 38 weeks and 4 days, and I have been the same for at least 3 weeks (1 cm and cervix still kind of high up, not soft) Long story...I have to do everything on my own or I have to have a repeat C. Has anyone had any experience with this? I am running out of time before my doctor schedules the section.

Hi Emm! I just saw my naturopath/acupuncturist today. I guess she has had good luck with encouraging the onset of labor through acupuncture. My next visit is scheduled in 2 weeks (at week 37) and she's going to start doing some labor points then. Today she did a point to try to get him to flip head down, and I actually think that might have worked... it feels like it must be his little b___t rather than a head high up on my right side. Good luck... I hope it works for you!

Hey Val! I had my appointment today, and I really liked it. It was amazing that the whole time I had the needles in place I had good contractions. If it wasn't for the contractions I would have fallen asleep. It was really cool. Anyway, I had some really good contractions this afternoon, but it wasn't the real thing. As soon as I got up out of the chair and changed positions everything stopped. :( They were telling me this morning that it is really easy to get babies to turn. I hope he did.
