Baby Quot Low Quot Belly Measuring Smaller

Two weeks ago, my belly measured almost 35 weeks, which was accurate. Today, my belly measured 34 weeks, and I'm 36 weeks, 5 days. The doctor is not overly concerned because he said the baby was really low and that probably caused the discrepancy. I'm not really that worried, but it does make me wonder. I thought women who have had babies already didn't necessarily "drop." I thought that happened closer to delivery time. Anyone else a second or better time mom who has dropped?

I will be 38 weeks on Thursday, and at my 36 week appointment, baby was at a station -1 already, so she had dropped. I think in second pregnancies we don't notice it as much because we are already carrying a bit lower (due to lack of muscle strength) than with first pregnancies.

Well, I had an ultrasound Tuesday, and the baby is already well over 7 pounds and "lower than normal." So I guess that's what caused it.

i had the same deal, at 39w4d i measured 36, just means baby moved farther down getting ready for the journy.
