I went to the dr. today and she checked me once again and this time I was actually dilated, to 1 cm. I have been checked several times before and never was dilated. As soon as she got done I went straight to the bathroom and I was bleeding, i know that they tell you that you may spot a little bit afterwards but this is the first time and it was more than spotting it was alot of blood and that was at 9:00 this morning, and I am still having a little bit of blood come out each time I go to the bathroom, it's pink and sometimes brown. Has this ever happened to anyone else.

hi logansmom. the same thing happened to me and it lasted about 2 days. I was really freaked out, but I told the doctor and she said it was normal. I have been checked one time after that and I did not bleed at all....very strange. I go back for another check on Friday...so we'll see what happens then. I am 38w 4d and have been 1cm dilated for 2 weeks. I am being induced on 2-28 if I dont go before that. Good louck to you :)

it is normal to bleed or spot for a day or two after you have an internal exam done...especially if you are starting to dilate already. I was checked to day ( 34w 5d) and I am 3 cm and 50% effaced......she checked me 3 weeks ago due to contractions and I wasn't dilated at all. So, things are progressing!! But so far I haven't had any spotting or bleeding, just some cramping and being uncomfortable.
