When I went to the doctor tuesday I let her know that I was having pains. When she checked me I was 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. She put me on meds to stop labor/contractions (thats what she said the pains were). I have been fighting high blood pressure the whole pregnancy. Being only 32 weeks with so many complications does this mean I might have my baby before term. This is my second pregnancy, but its been 7 years and I didnt have a single problem with the first one and he was 13 days past due date.

CT, most likely you will go preterm, I know alot of doctors that want to induce at 37wks with patients that have high blood pressure, although 32wks is very early, if you do end up having your little one early the chances of survival are very high. Lets hope that the meds help stop labor and you can let your baby "cook" a little longer :)

CT - my friend had the same situation and her baby was born 1 week short of 3 months premie. and she is a very healthy little girl, she had to stay in the hospital for a while but today now youd never know she was only 2 and a half pounds at birth, i hope the meds work though and your blood pressure comes down, so you can take your baby home with you when your discharged..she said the hardest thing was being able to go home and having her baby stay behind... best wishes

you may go early, but just becuase they have to stop it doesn't mean anything. They stopped my labor at 25 weeks and at 34 weeks and now I am 40 weeks and no baby! Hopefully your little one hangs in there until week 37 and you can keep your blood pressure down. Good luck and let us know what happens.
