I Had My Baby

I came on this website religiously the last 2 months of my pregnancy and asked alot of questions! I just thought I would let everyone know I had my baby on my due date: July 21st at 11:25pm after 8 hours of labor. I must say that the epidural saved my life! I was in so much pain I thought I was going to die!! But after I received the epidural I was good to go. I was pushing 2 hours later and it only took 5 minutes to push him out. We were all shocked when they said "its a boy!" because he was suposed to be a girl named Zoey Madison so we had to come up with a boy name! Talk about pressure! But we decided on Noah Elijah and he is the sweetest little boy! He's 5 days old and I'm already madly in love with him! Hang in there girls, your turn will be here soon!! =o)

Hi Jane. Congratulations on your baby boy!!! =) Just curious, you said you were expecting a baby girl, but ended up with a baby boy...What percentage in confidence did your Dr. say you were having a girl? I'm expecting a little girl in mid-Sept. and my Doc said she is 90% sure. I just don't want a shocking surprise since we have invested everything in "girl" colors. Your response is greatly appreciated. =)

congrats! did you have to have a catheter with the epidural?

Yeah, the doctor was 90% sure also and we had all girl stuff too! And no, I did not have a catheter but I did pee all over the doctor and myself when I was pushing!!! How embara__sing! lol

Congrats on your baby boy. I had my 3rd boy 2 weeks ago. We didn't find out the s_x till he was born. I'm glad I waited. I wasn't disappointed at all. I peed all over the doctor too. I kept apologizing. I didn't even realize I was doing it. It really is embarrasing!!!

I didn't realize I was doing it either! I thought it was the left over bags of water! I felt so bad. Congratulations on your new baby too!

I just had my 2nd baby on the 13th of July and I too came on this site every day for the last month of my pregnancy. I wish doctors would tell women their due dates were a month later then they actually are then everyone would be happy when their babies come “early”. My 1st baby was born at 42/4 and they had to break my water to get labour going. My 2nd baby was born at 41/4 and I was hoping he would come anytime after 37 weeks. With my 1st I didn’t find out the s_x, because my husband wanted a surprise. With the second my husband knew that I really wanted to know so we found out I was having a boy. Lucky/unlucky for us I was late again and I had to have an ultrasound at 41 weeks to make sure everything was okay. We got to double-check the boy/girl question and there was no doubt about him being a boy. We would have had to pick out a girls name quickly. Funny thing… with my first we couldn’t think of any boys names that we really liked. With the second we couldn’t think of any girls names! Anyway, good luck to everyone that is expecting and I wish everyone a safe delivery.

Congrats, great name, my son is named Noah too. My Noah made me push for 2.5 hours but I agree with you on the epidural. Never thought I'd get one but at the moment I didn't even think about not getting one. Oh well, maybe next time!
