This is my first baby and it is very very uncomfortable and I asked my dr if anything had to be wrong in order for him to induce. He said no not necessarily. And I asked him if I could be induced on the July 11th it is a special day for me and my fiance . I am due on the 22nd of July. He said if my baby checks out at a good weight and everything is developed that it should be fine. What do you all think?

IMO Sometime they work out sometimes not. I know far to many woman who were induced only to go into distress from the pitocin & ended up with emergency C/S I think when the baby is ready she/he will come out :-) just my $.02 unless your totally prepared for a C/S then go ahead

No worries...my last 4 babies have been induced at 38 weeks. You will be fine and I am sure it will go well. As long as they soften your cervix well, it will be a breeze. Don't worry!

I personally agree with Kayla... a baby comes when it is ready.... Of course unless its over due or something is wrong... besides I think one of the fun parts of being pregnant is not knowing for sure when he/she will come..... But hey its up to you and Good luck

I know here they will not induce you without a valid reason, unforunately being uncomfortable isn't one of those reasons. You aren't guaranteed to have the baby on that day either - induction or not. I was induced but it took two days for me to deliver and that was my third baby - the reason was I was 37weeks and my body just wasn't ready for labour. I was induced due to cholestasis and didn't really have a choice.
