For the past week i've been to the toilet more and having what i politly call no2's. However lastnight i had to go a few times and today i have been twice already, lastnight i had back ache with it and general feeling like i had abit of a tummy bug, today i have no back ache but the feeling of a tummy bug, like i need to poo all the time but i don't... My friend says this is 1 sign of things getting on as your bowls have to empty before going in labour, i was wondering if this is true?? Has anyone experienced it and if so how long did it take afterwards for things to kick off cause at the moment i'm having no pain like contractions.. And i doubt my waters will break naturally as every female in my family who've had kids so far have had to have theirs broken... Or is all this possibly just some tummy bug i've picked up somewhere?? 1 other question is... I've got really bad stretchmarks on my belly... And now i'm noticing abit of a rash too...? Is this normal or should i see the doctor about it? Thank you :-)

Hi I am pregnant with number 6. And I know what you are going through. You didn't mention how far you were. But usually going to the bathroom like that just means that the baby is moving down to the birthing ca___l. Now that does not mean necessarily the baby is right now on the way. It just means he/she is descending and getting more comfortable, usually head down, which does put pressure on your bowels. Which makes sense they clean you out. The rash you mentioned I have had too. That is usually due to the getting bigger and the skin gets thinner which means less fat in one area and makes you dry. You may not notice the dryness but sometimes I would itch, if you rub it , it may start to itch. I always would put some lotion on my belly and not pull may pants over my belly, let it air out, that should clear it up. Good luck!

Thank you taylow :-) Yeah i forgot to put how far gone i am, i'm 39weeks and 5days, but with my first which is why i ask so many questions... As lovely as my midwife is she can be totally usless at explaining things to me and always makes me feel rushed at my appointments... But thank you for replying, good luck with your pregnancy too :-)

I've noticed this over the past few days too - I'm only 33w1d, but I have an "irritable uterus" and got rear-ended which has caused tons of contractions over the past few days (Wed I was monitored having them every 3 minutes before they got them to stop). I'm not diating yet (thank goodness) so I figure it's just due to the contractions and the fact that baby is head down and putting more pressure down there...

about 3 weeks before I had my daughter I started having diahreah all the time. My doc said it was pretty normal. I didn't have it right before I went into labour, but I did have a back ache....good luck to you!!
