Labor Should I Go To My Daughter Already

Sarah is due July 27th. She is pretty tiny but doc says the baby is a normal size. Yesterday, the doc examined her and said she had, surprisingly, lost her mucus plug and was 3 cm. dilated. Sarah is feeling nothing as yet, and even says she doesn't feel pregnant. Since she lives 3 hours away from me, I'm wondering if I should go to her now or wait until something more definite develops.

I was 3 cm dialated days before I went into labor, and I lost the plug a couple weeks before. It will probably be soon, but you never know.

It's not surprising :) With my first baby I lost my plug almost 2 full weeks before I had my son - and even then I was induced. I'd wait until she starts to feel the cramping - chances are you'll still have HOURS to get there - days maybe :)

I'd say, ask your daughter. I'm not due til the end of August, I'm not dilated, or effaced, and plug is still present - and I'd LOVE to have my mom here with me. Unfortunately, that's just not possible.
