My waters broke nearly 38hrs ago and i still have not gone into labour, i have read that the baby should be delivered within 24hrs 1ce the waters have broken due to an increase risk of infection and if labour is slow then a c section will be needed but the hospial wont "speed up" my labour for another 19hrs, i am worried incase this is too long and there will end up being a problem. What should i do?

my waters broke and i didn't go into labour untill 2 weeks later,if your waters have broken why haven't the hospital told you that you have to stay in there untill labour does start that's what they did to me! if you start getting a green discharge then go back to the hospital and they will keep you in over night then you will be induced hope this helps all the best love ray oh p.s if you are wearing a pad and you have green slime on it take this to the hospital with as they need to check it(i know that this is grose)but it has to be done for yours and your babies sake good luck xx

Did your doctor not tell you that you need to go to the hospital when your waters break whether you have pains or not?? the baby is in danger when there is a leakage of fluid
