How does pineapple induce labour? I've read it on here in lots of posts, but I don't understand how it can induce you? I eat it all the time...

It has to be fresh pineapple it has something in it that make your cervix softer and can cause contractions it just depends on the person not everyone will experience this feeling

Oh, thanks. I was wondering why everyone was eating it. I buy a fresh pineapple and eat it every week; I'm in my 22nd week.

it has a chemical in it, but according to the official info youd have to eat about 7 resh pineapples for it to have effect, ive tried 3 times and 9 days overdue and it doesnt work, it sure gives you a sore mouth though, i ended up liquidizing them to get them down
