awww thanks! i'm glad not everyone thinks i'm nuts. :o) the itching is not something to ignore! i had cholestasis with my first baby and the main symptom was all over itching with no rash. it's basically a complication with your gall bladder that casues bile acid levels in the blood to rise and can be diagnosed with simple blood tests. the risk to baby is that it can effect the ammount of amniotic fluid and alot of babies are born early and have lower birth weight. i ended up going a week over my due date but he was TINY, just 6lbs 9 oz. that extra week did him alot of good. as soon as he was born the itching stopped compleatly. definatly get checked out. it ended up being very manageable for me, and on the plus side, i got to have an u/s every week to check the fluid. now who doesn't enjoy getting a peek at the baby? i'll see if i can find you a link on the condition. i'd definatly bring it up and keep bringing it up untill i got the blood test. the risk is pretty minimal, but it's better to be on the safe side.

found a link! http://www.allaboutmoms.com/hihrisk.htm#ch be warned, this article makes it sound much more scary than it actually was. promise me you won't flip out. :o) be firm with your doctor about getting tested. who knows, it may be blood pressure related after all, but better to check. i'd much rather be the mom who over reacts than the one who takes bad advice and regrets it later, know what i mean?
