I am only 17-18 weeks pregnant and I am SO scared about labor. Its not so much the pushing...its the begining of labor that scares me. how will i know? what if I dont get to the hospital? What if the baby gets stuck? The pain? I want to do it with no medicine...what if I cant? Im so scared. Is it normal?

Maybe you should try to take your mind of of being scared since no matter what you will have to face labor because once it happens you will know. Usually 2-4 weeks or(if second baby)before the onset of labor your baby lowers into your pelvis(drops), you might notice your stomach looks like your carrying low.
real contractions are usually timed apart and the pain if any doesn't go away when shifting position.
you can also loose your mucous plug before pregnancy.
you should have weekly appointments once your nine months pregnant.
most head down position babies don't get stuck and are born healthy when tookin care of. There are cla__ses like lamaze to teach you to tolerate pain naturally and if you can't usually epidurals are safe and the most reccomended relief for pain. and as far as being scared it more than normal.

The labor is gonna hurt it is all part of the process.I am going on my 3rd baby and I am just as scared with this one as my first and maybe even more so..You just have to remember it is all worth it when you hold the baby..
With my first I had drugs..my second one I didnt have anything because I went so quick but this one if there is time I will choose to have the epidural..
You are gonna be scared no matter what but just try to keep reminding yourself what you are getting at the end of this journey..

LOL!!!! You will know!! I thought the same thing when I was pregnant with my daughter. You will be fine...the baby will not get stuck and if you choose not to use medicine, that's great, but if during your labor you choose to, don't feel badly!
