Okay.. im 38w5d today and am getting induced Thursday morning. But ever since my doc. appt yesterday after the internal Ive been feeling so different. Lots of cramping.. and I was up all night last night with horrible back pain. And today it feels so different how my baby is sitting... like shes alot heavier. And Ive been having REAL bad cramps like every 15-20 minutes or so that last about 20/30 seconds... I dont know if its contractions.. dont know what else it could be. I think my stomach may be hardening up ... but my stomach is so hard all the time its hard to tell if its tightening or whatever... .... any advice??

i've been experiencing the same things. it feels like all of a sudden my son weighs a ton more! and i was having constant pains yesterday and a few today. so i went to the hospital. they were going to give me pitocin to make the contractions regular. so, i think you're having contractions. but i could feel my uterus/belly tighten, so i don't know. good luck with everything though!!

your babies could have dropped (getting ready for delivery) even if it is your first pregnancy, you will just know when contractions start. its strange to say but it is true.. Good luck you guys!!

I've been getting the same thing too. It's like the worst days of menstrual cramping and such a pain in my back that I can't get comfortable at night to fall asleep. Heat pack seemed to help a bit.
I also really hope it's the start of things! I guess we'll see.
