Has anyone had this done, and was it effective in bring on their labor? I'm 3cm dilated, and just had it done. i was told to be upright after that...but what if contractions don't start after the 1 hour? Any advice on what anyone else did out there to get things movin'?

hi, i was 39wks and 3 days when i had it done. i was 4cm. almost exactly 12 hours later i started getting pretty strong contractions and a couple hrs after that, he was born! also, i didnt do anything out of the ordinary that day. i just went about my day as usual

had it done 3 times w my first and nothing. had it done last tuesday and had my son the next day. i think if your bodys ready it will work. i was 3+ cm 75% effaced last wk when done

I'M 37 WEEKS.... DO YOU THINK I COULD GET MY DOCTOR TO TRY THIS?

I'm getting it done next Monday.... I am due on the 11th, so he said at my appointment on the 13th he will go ahead and do it, he said it usually gets the ball rolling... I can't wait, he said my baby is going to be a fair size too.... so the sooner I get it out the better.... : )
