Weird Feeling In My Cervix Area

Name: m Title of Question: Whats this weird feeling in my cervix?? Question: Ok, I know this sounds odd, but I am 38 weeks and have been dialated to a 3 and 50% for 2 weeks. Today I started feeling pains in my cervix, like everytime the baby moves it hurts down there. Do you think I am thinning out or dialating anymore? Still no contractions, and I have tried EVERYTHING!! I have had my membranes swept twice, with no luck, the last time was last Friday. Has anyone else had this feeling? I go to the OB/GYN tommorrow so hopefully I will be dialated more or he will have a plan of action. I am so miserable, I just want this pregnancy to end, I know that sounds so selfish but I am just ready to have my baby. Any input on this feeling will be greatly appriciated!! Thank you!!

i understand your pain and your pain. hehe. i have the same pressure and shock of pain in my cervix. i can think of it being no more than my baby girl stretching me getting ready to help me dialate more. i too am anxious for this to be over. i think i may be experiancing some depression because i'm just ready for baby. we finished our babies nursery over four months ago and this may be the second most difficult thing. i will never do that again. i should have waited until now because i pull my hair out everytime i walk past her room and realise i'm getting no use of it yet. i want to ask my doctor to enduce me but don't want to sound unbearably selfish. i'm 38 wks and am just wraught out. emotionally everything makes me cry and everything frustrates me. the people whom i spend most my time with are noticing the mood change and it is just anticipation and anxiety. warning though: if you are so impatient that you try at hom elabor inducer (i have) and they don't work, you'll even more miserable. there is nothing for us to do but wait i suppose. congrats on your pregnancy and hope your bundle of joy comes soon.

I have the same thing... My little boy seems to think the best place for movement is all along my cervix and its very uncomfortable. I dunno if it means anything but it sure is annoying!

I have been having the same pain, and when I went to see the doc he said it is probably the babies hand or head hitting the cervix or the baby is just hitting a nerve that causes the sharp pain in the cervix. I know it really hurts, feels like someone is stabbing you up there. lol

Well I am 35 weeks and they had to stop my labor twice already once at 30 1/2 and once at 321/2 due to an appendectomy. but since the i went home after the second time they stopped the labor, i feel the same thing, like quick bolts of electricity running through my crotch. I think it might be the baby dropping and hitting nerves. I asked my doctor about it and he said a lot of women say this but it never amounts to anything. Good luck

I feel the same thing. Its like at the back of my v____a, everytime my baby moves I feel pressure under my bump and a stingy stretching sensation in my cervic. Im hoping this means Im about to go into labour as Im 3days over due. Ive had everything ready for 3months and too wish I waited. Its my first baby. I feel very low and down all the time as Ive been on maternity leave for 3weeks and so bored. My nesting is still ongoing but I cant do much more. I just hope that soon, well maybe in the next day or too I get to meet the baby thats causing all this pain and happiness in my life. And to all of you who have to wait that little bit longer. Best of Luck!!! Annette from Ireland

I've had this same pain for several weeks. I can tell you that it does not necessarily mean you are dilating because I am 40+ weeks and I have not dilated at all as of yesterday.
