Im almost 40 weeks wednesday is my due date, well I was lost my mucus plug friday then sunday morning i had like i guess my bloody show I have been having contractions but they are not close together yet, last week I was 1 cm 50 % effaced ... I was just wondering how long afer ur bloody show does labor began???

With my first baby I lost my plug about 36 weeks, and was induced 5 days early as I was already 80% effaced and 3cm dialated, and my ob was going out of town, so I know for me it had been a couple weeks and I never went into labor on my own. You however are due pretty much so it should be soon. If your ob is anything like mine at least you know it won't be longer than 2 weeks, b/c my ob won't let you go over any longer than that!
