With my first child I got to the hospital at 5:30am and gave birth at 7:46am. No time for epi, au natural. My doc didn't even get there on time. Now everyone is joking with me to get to the hospital as soon as I feel a contraction with this one. Even my doctor laughed and said "you better not wait, just go". Anyone else have a fast first deivery and a second that was a "speedy delivery"? I mean should I really jet to the hospital as soon as labor comes on? The first time I just woke up and said to hubby, we gotta go, so I wasn't even in labor (that I noticed) at home.

My doctor told me the same thing...I had a fast delivery with my son....I was already 3 cm and 100% effaced at 36 weeks....I was in labor for about 6 hours, which 2 of those hours was pushing!! But my doctor told me this time around, not to wait until my contractions are 5 minutes apart...she said when you start getting them, go to the hospital, and if the hospital tries turning you away, refuse and have them call me. So if your doctors tells you to go asap....I would listen.

My friend had her 2nd baby just over a week ago, and as soon as she got her first contraction and new she was in labor, he husband took her straight to the hospital, but it happened so quick she ended up having her daughter in the car on the way to the hospital. I'm 34 weeks with my 2nd and just hoping that it happens quick but just not that quick. Good luck im sure everything will be fine.
