my due date is sunday and at my last visit the dr. said my cervix was hard as a rock, he was going to induce me but is afraid to because he might have to do a c-section. i asked if there was anything i could do to help things along, (my mother was with me also) he turned and looked at her and said "NO, AND THOSE OLD WIVES TALES DON'T WORK EITHER!!" he went on to say that even walking does nothing!
i would like a womans opinion, someone who has been through labor, any suggestions?

my cervix is hard and firm too, but since this is my third pregnancy and last one had to be emergancy c-secton this one will be a planed csection too I'm 37 weeks he will do a c=section on the 18 july and also told me that old wives tales don't work to let baby take his time the longer he's there the better good luck.....

Wondering if Monica was still around and how your labor went with a hard cervix, I was told about the same thing yesterday at the docs although I'm almost 100% effaced. I'm just scared to death of a c-sec!

after i wrote this with hard cervix and all my water broke on the 10th and i delivered again by c section on the 11thof july to a baby boy 6' 2 oz dont be scared just listen carefuly to the docs and nurses follow all there instructions and its not as bad as all that good luck...
