no because either the blue or the black, think its the black cohosh can make it difficult to stop bleeding and and can both can cause an allergic reaction. I take red raspberry LEAF capsules, as I don't like hot beverages, and that makes labor better. I didnt take it the first time I got pregnant, and did with the second, it made a world of difference in how I dilated even so I would recommed that. I don't have any experience with the primrose oil so I can't tell you about it. Just my opinion.

I read that I either blue or black cohosh can give a baby a heart attack. I dont know how true it is but that was enough to keep me away from it.

I've read that evening primrose oil works for a lot of pregnant women. you take it orally and v____al. also borage seed oil. and from what I've read the black is the one that promotes bleeding.

I bought blue cohosh and black cohosh and I was putting drops underneath my tongue. The bottles were empty and nothing had happened. Nothing at all.

Cohosh will not ripen the cervix. Evening Primrose oil will. You can buy it at Walgreens, Target, etc. It comes in gel caps, and looks like a vitamin E capsule. You can take them orally or break them open and insert them v____ally. The blue and blask cohosh have to be in the right blend or proportion to work (stimulate contractions). One will not work without the other. I think that's why so many don't have success with it. They only buy one, or not the right balance of the two. I used the Labor Boost cream. I didn't want to take anything orally. It worked, so I was very happy with it.
