today when I woke up a bunch of slime came out of me. It was tinged with brown blood. Then 8 hours later more came out. I am now 2 days past my due date and no contractions yet - just Braxton Hicks. Will labor come soon? Was this my mucus plug?

If you had an exam that could be the reason you would have blood, but if not I've read that you can loose your plug and still have weeks before you go into labor, but if theres blood in it that means you will usually go into labor within 24 hours

I didn't have an exam and like I said, I was actually due 2 days ago. It's been 12 hours since I noticed this mucus and it continues everytime I go the bathroom and wipe. I sure hope things get started soon!

Theres a difference between your plug and bloody show, so like I said if theres blood dont be surprised if you go into labor like tomarrow. With my last baby I had both in the same day then I went into labor the next day at 5 am. If I was you I would reach up there a little and pull all that stuff out. I had mucus three weeks ago with no blood I'm 38 weeks now. and still waiting on some bloody show.
