how do u know if your cervix is dilated? everyone on here seems to get internal examinations everytime they see their doc or m/w but i dont!

at 37 weeks, they usually start seeing you every week...but they should have started checking you a while ago.

you should ask them about that...they are supposed to be checking you, especially this far along!

Alot of doctors don't like to do internals unless they think theres a problem, sometimes when they do them the get things started and some try to avoid it if possible!

that happened to me at my 40 week exam! after she checked me, my contractions started and went through the night! i had my son the next day!!
