I am really scared about knowing if i am in labor or not. i have been having cramps but i don't think that its the right cramps for labor. And they don't come that often. I am afraid that i won't know if i am in labor or not. i have almost 3 weeks till my due date. i haven't lost my mucous plug yet either. I mean how will i know if its contractions or just cramps. will someone please help me. thanx

real contractions when you are in labour are more painful than just cramps...I mean kinda like bad period cramps with pressure, backpain, pelvice pain....pretty much pain everywhere down there!! It is possible that you could be experiencing BH contractions, which will still give you the cramping sensation. If you start to notice the cramping at regular intervals then I would contact your doctor.

i am on baby number 4 and had cramping in my last two pregnancies, i was told by the doctors that i was threatening preterm labour, so if you are uncomfortable with the cramping it wouldn't be bad idea to be checked out. The mucus plug i never lost until i was in active labour, so i guess i was acception to the rules haha hope this helps!
