i'm 38 weeks and ready to have my baby. A friend of mine told me the jumping rope slowly will start contractions, maybe when it cools of i'm going to try it.

Alaina - June 7

I finally have my baby.. I was due may 9 and tried everything for self inducing even the pressure points..And 10 hours of pitocin didn't work for me.. I had to go home wait 4 days go back and was 1/2 centimeter dialated.. and then the next morning after 2 hours of pitcon i had reached 1cm and my dct. broke my water at 9am and at 2pm i was still 1 cm then they gave me a shot to help me sleep inbetween contactions and in 2 hours i went from 1-4 than i got my entrathiecal..(same as efect as epidural except you feel for the pushing) at 4 pm and i was 8 cm at 6:30 and i was pushing at 6:50 andat 7:11 had a beutifull baby girl.. she was 9 lbs 2 oz.and 24" long. the doctor says she didn't appear over due.. I was a 7 lbs baby and so was my b/f.. we don't know how she is so big.. I my preprego weight was 127 5'6... we are not big people so it is very weird... And i only pushed for 21 minutes.. That is a near miracle for the size of me and her and how NOTHING worked for me... I seriosly though i wasn't capable of having a baby naturally but it all wroked out.. those of you anxios to have your baby .. the time will come and it will hurt but it is so worth the pain..I am only 17 and i spend my days talking to my baby and loving her.. I love being a mumma.. and i hope you gals will too... SEDAF< tell your doctor that your husband leaves, I had to say my b/f was going on a fishing trip to be induced cuople days earlier>

When I was over due with my daughter my Dr tld me to get evening primrose oil gel caps and take those.

C.G - June 9

With the evening primrose oil, does it have to be pure? The kind I got also has cis-linolenic acid and gamma-linolenic acid in it.

hi, not to sound weird, but has anyone had an itching and burning feeling in thier perineum? I had a csection 7 months ago, and just recently got this pain. It Hurts! What will make it feel better?

Denise - June 10

alianmama said it on March 18th 2005. that is the exact answer I got from my midwife. It really does work. .Orgasms. Oxytocin is the natural version of synthetic, Pitocin, used in hospitals. Oxytocin is released during orgasm, nipple stimulation (and is also responsible for the let-down reflex during b___stfeeding). Just remember though, that everyone is different. The same will not work for all of us

Not me - June 10

I have orgasms almost every day (at least one) and I'm still huge! I'm so ready for this baby. I'm 2 cm and 80% effaced at station -2. I've tried spicy foods, oral s_x, orgasm, nipple stimulation, walking, blue cohosh...I'm so depressed! I think I need to relax and meditate. Maybe that'll work.

Castor Oil does really help, but you should be careful, because it makes your contractions feel more as one big cramp then spaced out ones. Also I tried it by mixing 3oz into a sunkist soda and went it to labor that night, but my placenta had also ruptured a little causing me to bleed during labor, so I don't know if that was from the castor oil or not, but it did work.

pandibear - June 15

I took Castor oil. It tastes nasty but I was in labor within 8 hours. Plus it is cheap.

Nicki - June 15

The pineapple thing gave me pains for a few hours but I am not in labour, then again the pains could be from the castor oil I had to force myself to swallow, or maybe the hour long walk my fiance pushed me to do, saying 'come on you could walk further', but then he was nice and ran me a hot bath which was great, but to no avail. He is quiet happy with all the recommendations for lots of s_x, but that is not helping my mood, but I WANT this baby out, so hot pa__sionate (ha ha) s_x it is, at 40wks. Anyway on with the waiting game...

*expecting* - June 15

I took 2oz. of castor oil the day i was 37 weeks and it gave me bad contractions for a lil while then stopped..(i also found i wasnt dialated any then)...i'm 39 weeks today and monday i was 2 1/2 centimeters dialated and am so uncomfortable so i was thinking of taking castor oil again...do u think it will work this time since i'm dialated?

Trish - June 16

Well i can say castor oil and oj work i did it and it put me in labour quick and i had my son the night i took it...... u have to do it properly for it to work, about half the bottle and the rest oj and u need to chug as much as fast as u can for it to work... GOOD LUCK AND CONGRATS

Joanna - June 17

I wish that s_x and that disgusting raspberry leaf tea would work cos I'm 41 weeks now and am booked in for inducement next wednesday. But after being induced with my first child I do not want to go through that experience again, it caused such frequent contactions (7 every ten minutes) that I had have an epidural which I had previously ruled out. Have read all the comments and appreciate the suggested methods as I'm getting quite scared now. Good luck ladies, xxx
