Still drinking tea,and still waiting on my baby to make his grand entrance into the work.Guess he is happy right where he is.Well until the 18th when i will be induced.Something i am not looking forward to,infact the whole idea of giving birth scares me all of a sudden!!The mid-wife actually suggested s_x as a means of natural inducment, can this be true :)

I am 39 weeks and havent tried anything yet but am definitely ready to have my daughter. I was wondering if anyone else is uncomfortable having s_x Meaning it is painful it feels like my fiance is hitting my bladder. And if s_x does help to induce labor does it only work if you orgasm, this pregnancy has been rough cause s_x has been uncomfortable since like the 4 or 5th month?????????????????

does anyone else think s_x hurts im 39 weeks and people have told me to induce have s_x but it feels like my fiance is hitting my bladder when we have s_x. Do you think that that method only works if you orgasm cause i cant wait to have a normal s_x life again its been rough for both of us??????????

Caroline, it is a relief to hear that I am not the only one who finds s_x to be a little painful now (and since approx. 4-5mo also). However, I am going to grin and bear it in a couple of weeks (once I hit the 37-38wk mark) along with the walking (and what the heck...the pinapple too..I love it, so what the heck!!). I figure, if it doesn't start labor, then at least my poor hubby will be happy (because it will be a long time before it happens again once we deliver!!) for a while. I felt weird talking about it before, because so many women say that s_x is so much better once pregnant and they had these great orgasms (blah blah blah)....I was a little let down when my body proved opposite. everyone is different.......

Caroline, Yes.. S_x can suck, I havn't been plesured through most of my pregnancy, Now i am sucking it up and dealing with it to help induce but unfortiniatly i don't have a willing partner. You would think my fiance would want s_x since he wont get it for a while. I herd s_x was great during pergnancy too, HA i wish! Good Luck I'm Stuck with just walking alot to induce my labor.

Had quite a good shag last night to induce labour. Good if you call being unable to breathe due to the pressure on hy huge stomach. We could try the other way but it goes in too deep and it hurts and if I get on top my pelvis aches. Yes, I agree, pregnant s_x SUCKS!!!!

I have one child and am expecting twins in a few months. I was induced with my 1st child 2 days before his due date. I hadn't dilated at all the day before my scheduled induction and had (not so great) s_x that night and was dilated to 3 by that morning. My suggestion is s_x, s_x and more s_x. What could be more natural? Find a position that works and work it. From behind (standing up or on your knees), lie on your side, stack some pillows to support your back and tell your hubby its do or die. Ladies we spend nine months of being cautious of what we put in our bodies just to get to the last few weeks and b__w it. No, we can wait. Have fun make yourself as comfortable as possible and enjoy your free time. That baby will be here soon enough and will take center stage.

I have tried just about everything to try to induce this baby!! I am due Wednesday and I am soooo ready! Its sad because I was in preterm labor at 28 weeks and had meds to stop the labor. Now at 39 weeks, I cannot get it going again!! Started drinking rasberry tea at 36 weeks and at 38 weeks I was almost 90% effaced. But I was only dialted to 1cm. It has stayed the same the past 2 weeks. I have tried the evening primrose because I have a scarred cervix due to a LEEP and 3 colpo's in the past, and it has helped open it some. I tried nipple stimulation and got some strong contractions, but got tired after 3-4 hours of it, so I stopped and it went away. I have no b___st pump, and I am scared to try that anyway. Took Castor oil twice. The first time I took 1 tablespoon with OJ and then 4 hours later visited the bathroom, then had strong contractions for about 5 hours. Went to hospital and would not dilate so sent home....tried 2oz with OJ a week later, and did nothing!! Tried an enema, nothing but runs for about an hour! Tried Black colsh, nothing!!! Walking seems to help with the pressure and discomforts. So does the exercise ball, sometimes. Also tried the accupressure for over 2 hours and DID NOTHING!! Went to my dr today and found out I have a bulging bag of membranes, and I am dilated to 3cm, and 100% effaced. But the baby is "sunnyside up" now and she is not hitting the cervix to help dilate, so there is really nothing else I can do!! He is scared to break my water, because it may slip down around the baby's neck, or totally out, so I have to wait until she drops more!Trying to find ways now to make the baby drop some so she will hit the cervix. Tried jumping around on an exercise ball the past two weeks to make her drop some with no success!! Good Luck ladies....I'm in the same boat!! I am running out of options, and now I am content with waiting!!

Well, I'm 38 weeks along and at the totally uncomfortable stage. This is my second child and she is a good size, over 8 lbs. already. My first daughter was 5 1/2 weeks early. She was still 6 lbs. and doing well but the hospital kept her in for 12 days as standard procedure. It was hell having to leave at night and leave my baby there. I had to pump so she would have my milk at night and it felt like a peace of me was ripped away. My advice is let the baby stay in as long as they want. They will come when they are ready. Yes we feel huge and we toot every time we stand up. We are puffy and aching and can't eat without heartburn. What is sleep? Just gets you ready for the late night feedings. Let your baby go to term. Just suck it up, it will be well worth it and best for the little one. Good luck to everyone.

I thought I would post yet another message to update you all on my progress. I went to the doctor and begged for a membrane sweep but my cervix was too high, posterior, thick and generally not ready. This is even after I had lost some blood-streaked mucus. The bloody mucus is continuing in small amounts and I am hoping the docor is wrong about things being still a way off. I still have 4 days untill my due date but I really do not want to be overdue. And I would like to tell all the people who say we should enjoy our last few days of pregnancy because we will be even more tired afterward that most of us are used to waking many times through the night for a wee and not being able to go back to sleep for half an hour because our backs are aching, but at least we will not have to carry our enormous bodies around all day too. Once the baby is out we have the option to put it down sometimes! I Can't wait to have this pregnancy over and done with, and after 3 babies in under 3 1/2 years I am looking forward to at least a 2 year break before I have another!

My 1st due date was the 10th and my next is the 18th.......since i am so close i have started walking regularly and have had an accupressure ma__sgae....not necessarily to induce but to help encourage and make labor easier....i am going to start eating pineapple today...to see if maybe it will help....i am having such back problems from pregnancy that my dr wants to induce late this coming week if i have not delivered...i would much rather try to get labor started without the use of medications seeing as i would really like to have a non-medicated delivery!!!

I am 39 weeks due on the 25th and being induced on that very day if this child still decides it wants to stay put. Red raspberry tea is great for establishing b___st milk, and toning as well as helping in the contracting of the uterus. Primrose oil can be inserted v____ally and taken orally after 38 weeks you can insert 3-4. S_x can be uncomfortable and even hurt I found the best position is doggy style that way you both can sort of have control. Walking walking walking is another possiblity but none have worked for me but good luck to anyone who wants to try and your new babies.

Laura - May 16

Well, I am 38 weeks tomorrow and want to have this baby so bad. My doctor is also being difficult about the whole induction thing, so I have been taking EPO now for almost 2 weeks and I am going to start inserting it v____ally tonight. I was not dilated at all at 36 weeks, and was hoping the EPO would hurry things along. Have also tried s_x, but for me as for some other women it is painful and downright sucks. I really do get the whole theory of wait until your baby is ready...it will happen. Well if I can help it he will come sooner. I have a 2 year old daughter and 2 teenage sons and I am so over being pregnant that I could scream. I can manage a newborn a heck of allot easier than I can being pregnant. I go back to the dr. on Wed. and hopefully I will have dilated a bit. I will post back soon with any updates.
