I am 32 wks along with my second son. I delivered my first with no meds at all and severe back labor (I remember wishing that I would die) . Im just wondering what results others have had with meds or epidurals. Advice? Should I tough it out again, or is there something that worked well for you?

With my first I had an epidural and I absolutely loved it! This time around (9 days ago) I tried to get as far as I could with no meds but ended up getting an epidural again. Unfortunately, it didn't take this time :( I also had a shot of demorol (sp?) which didn't do much but take the edge off. Good luck to you!

Unless you're dead set against drugs while in labor, I vote for them. Why suffer if you don't have to?

i recently had a back to back labour and so know what you mean about the pain, i did 2 hours just breathing, then used a tenns machine for 5 hours and it was wonderful. Then i had an epiduaral which was wonderful but really glad i stuck it out for so long first.
I think you just have to go with how you feel at the time, i think if mine wasn't back to back i could have done it with no epidural, but who knows... good luck x
